About Austurás

Austurás is a horse breeding farm owned by Haukur Baldvinsson and Ragnhildur Loftsdóttir and their family. The farm is located right outside Selfoss and therefore only a 45 minute drive away from Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland.

Even though operating an ambitious and successful breeding farm, Haukur and Ragga have horses as their primary leisure pursuit as they both work outside of the farm. There is always at least one trainer working full time at Austurás. A spacious stable with 23 boxes and a riding hall was built in 2007 so all facilities are exemplary.
